Professional Women in Construction, NY Chapter, Scholarship Program 2022-2023

2022-2023 Scholarship Program in honor of Founder and Past President, Lenore Janis will recognize six emerging students pursuing a degree in the AEC industry.  Each recipient will receive a one-time $2,500 scholarship to be provided directly to the college/university for recipient’s tuition.  In addition, each recipient will receive a one-year complimentary membership to PWC, New York Chapter which includes access to all committee and member-only events.  Recipients will also be invited as a guest to PWC’s 2022 Salute to Women of Achievement to be held in September 2022.

The 2022-2023 program is in partner with the following schools:

  • New York University – Schack Institute of Real Estate
  • The City College of New York – The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture
  • Manhattan College – School of Engineering


Full time student at one of the 2022-2023 partner schools

Registered in a graduate program or rising senior in undergraduate at start of fall semester 2022

Pursuing a degree in the AEC industry

Identify as female

Required participation:

Commitment to volunteer at two PWC events

Attend PWC’s 2022 Salute to Women of Achievement, September 2022


Student application deadline: March 30, 2022 (applications to be submitted directly to college/university)

College/university liaison submission to PWC:  April 6, 2022

Announcement to awarded recipients and College/University: April 30, 2022

Monetary award to be provided to College/University on behalf of recipient: Prior to fall semester 2022.

Complimentary one-year Membership Launch:  2022 Salute to Women of Achievement, September 2022
