Dorina has never stopped pushing and discovering new obstacles making her a leader among her peers. Today she is a VP at Hydro Tech a turnkey environmental consulting and engineering firm that provides a wide scope of services to a broad base of clients. Maria Salazzar identified a skill for mathematics, physics and technical drawing as a high school student in Quito, Ecuador, this led her to New York to pursue a career in architecture. In her position as Project Manager for HOK-NY, her talent for design is complimented by a passion for improving every end-user experience, regardless of the building type or project sector. Maria understands that the spaces she helps to create will become part of the day to day life of her inhabitants an takes pride in providing an enriching experience. Having lived and practiced in Ecuador, Mexico, and now New York City, Maria brings unique experience to working with diverse personalities. She prides herself in inspiring collaboration and cooperation among various members of the design and construction teams. Maria supports PWC because she believes in the importance of providing role models for young women considering a career in the AEC industry. She is a active member of the Membership Committee.
